How does YuLife Health Insurance work?
YuLife Health Insurance allows companies to purchase the best-in-market health insurance for their employees through Bupa, underpinned by the YuLife wellbeing proposition. With this offering, employers and employees can be comforted with the knowledge should they require, their private medical costs will be covered through their health insurance policy, within the limits of the policy benefits.
How do I set up my Health Insurance with YuLife?
Before your cover starts, you'll need to choose to opt in or out; your HR manager will contact you about this. Once you've opted in, you won't need to activate your insurance policy, it will automatically activate from the cover start date.
How can I adjust my policy, change my details, or add a dependant?
For any amendments to your cover and who is covered under the policy, please get in touch with your employer. If you wish to update your home address, the main member on the policy is able to do this within the 'My Cover' tab.
Can I cover my spouse, partner and dependants?
Partners, spouses and dependants may be added to your policy, depending on the cover level your employer has bought you. If you'd like to add them to your policy, please check with your HR manager to see if this is possible. If this is included, cover can be taken out:
At the point of joining.
Within 30 days of being first enrolled in the plan.
At a specified life event.
If your dependant is not added at the first opportunity, they may not be able to join on the same terms.
When can I add my newborn baby to my policy?
You may apply to include your newborn baby under your membership as one of your dependants free of charge until your first renewal date after their birth. This may differ depending on your policy cover, so please reach out to the dedicated contact number found on your Membership Pack, and quote your membership number. They'll be able to provide you with more information on this.
Where can I view my policy documents?
Your policy documents can be viewed in your Bupa Touch app - simply log in and head to the 'My Cover' tab at the bottom of the screen.
How do I sign up for a Bupa Touch account?
Once you've received your Bupa membership pack, download the Bupa Touch app from the App Store or Google Play Store. When you open the app, you'll be prompted to sign up. Simply enter the details as they appear on your Bupa documents. If you run into any issues with the Bupa Touch app, drop them a message on their webchat in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
Opting Out of your policy:
Can I opt out of the health insurance policy?
You are able to opt out of your policy, but please keep in mind that you might not be able to rejoin the policy on the same terms later on. For more information on this, reach out to Bupa, who will be able to advise you further!
Can I cancel my policy?
You can choose to leave your health insurance policy in the following situations:
Within 30 days of being first enrolled in the plan
At a specified life event
Upon leaving the company
Please get in touch with your HR manager if you wish to cancel/opt out of your health insurance policy.
