How do we calculate eNPS
eNPS is an industry standard calculation; it works by asking employees to rate their likelihood of recommending their company as a place to work on a scale of 0-10.
Responses are categorised into Promoters (9-10), Passives (7-8), and Detractors (0-6). The final eNPS Score is calculated by subtracting the percentage of Detractors from the percentage of Promoters, with the score ranging from -100 to +100.
For example: if you have 100 responses: 60 Promoters, 10 Passives, and 30 Detractors, the percentages would be 60%, 10%, and 30% respectively.
Using the formula eNPS = % Promoters โ % Detractors
eNPS = 60% - 30% = 30
Company level eNPS
You can measure company eNPS by sending an employee survey with the appropriate question type via the YuLife portal.
The survey tool gives you the ability to measure eNPS from anyone within your company, however we will only reference eNPS within the Employee Experience dashboard if the respective survey has been sent to 100% of your population. This is displayed as the latest eNPS Score, as well as a trend over time of eNPS from previous surveys meeting the same criteria.
eNPS collected from surveys targeted at smaller groups can still be found within individual survey results.
