How do I set up a new HRIS Integration on the YuLife Portal?
It's now easier than ever to get your employees uploaded onto the YuLife Portal with our direct HRIS connections.
Head to the left-hand menu in the Portal and select the 'People' tab, underneath this will be the option 'HR Connection'. Once you've selected HR Connection, you'll need to select the top option - 'Sync with your existing HR Information system'.
βYou'll progress to a screen which explains an overview of how the HRIS integration works. Once you're happy with this, please scroll down the screen and select Start your connection.

The next screen will show three drop-down tabs - these contain information about the data we need to access for specific employees and insurance policies. When you're ready to continue, tap Connect.

You'll get a pop-up which asks you to select the HR system that you use and would like to connect to YuLife. (If your system isn't in the list, please drop us a message via the portal webchat)

Once you've selected your HR system, you'll be asked a few questions, including a screen where you'll need to review your data. If you run into any issues with what information to enter, please click on the instruction link which will provide further info.

You'll then need to enter your credentials for the HR system and once these have been accepted you'll see the success screen.

The next screen will give you an overview of the information that has been shared, and you can progress to the next screen where you can finish this part of the connection setup.

The connection will now be processed, this can take some time as we need to ensure it is secure. As soon as this is completed, one of our team members will be in touch via email to confirm it.

Once weβve confirmed your connection, you can start your first sync. Before you start your sync, you can preview the data that will be synced. You can also opt to automatically invite all synced employees to the YuLife app.
βGoing forward, any changes that are made to the HRIS will be reflected on the YuLife Portal within 24 hours.

What permission do I need to be able to view/manage HRIS connections?
In order to view and/or manage the HRIS connection, you'll need to have to manage external integrations permission on your admin account. If you don't have this, please reach out to the Owner of your Portal who will be able to grant this permission if eligible.

Managing your HRIS Connection
To manage your HRIS Connection after initial setup, head to the HR Connection tab under People in the left-hand menu. From here you'll be able to see any connections you have.

Tap on the connection you wish to manage. There are two sections, Status and Settings. Within the Status section, you can see the status of the HRIS Connection. If you wish to disconnect from your HRIS, you can also do so here by tapping Disconnect.

If you scroll down to the Settings section, you'll see the option where you can sign an admin up to email notifications should the HRIS connection find any errors when it syncs. You also have the option to check the box which automatically means employees will be invited to the YuLife app on their employment start date when they sync over.

As with every change you make on the Portal, please ensure you scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Save changes before you exit the screen.
